Breaking news ignored by the Mainstream Media. Clear, fact-based journalism without spin or hidden agendas: US, politics, social media and technology.
The first to look at is a silver coin saying what a lot of people are thinking: Trump is “Still My President” (by ordering through this link and the links below, you’ll be helping support and benefiting Gateway Pundit):
It seems like the WSJ’s entire San Francisco bureau has been preoccupied lately with churning out a series of stories sourced from “leaked” internal Facebook documents exposing embarrassing internal reports on everything from Instagram’s deleterious impact on the mental health of its twentysomething and teenage users to political divisiveness to – today’s entry – how Facebook’s products are abused to facilitated human trafficking and terror recruitment in parts of the emerging world.
The gist of the piece is this: Facebook has a small staff dedicated to combating human trafficking around the world, particularly in countries where the rule of law isn’t as robust as it is in the US and Europe. In the Middle East, Facebook is used to lure women into sex slavery (or some other form of exploitative labor).
In Ethiopia, armed groups use the site to recruit and to incite violence against other ethnic minorities.
The documents leaked to WSJ show that while Facebook removes some pages, many continue to operate openly.
While some might sympathize with Facebook’s inability to whack every mole (after all, they’re fighting a never-ending torrent of misconduct). But the sad truth is that Facebook could do more to stop its platform from being abused by traffickers, criminals and abusers – particularly in the emerging world (we all remember what happened in Myanmar).

The reason it doesn’t is because that would be bad for business”, according to a former chief executive who resigned from the company last year. Facebook treats harm in developing countries as “simply the cost of doing business” in those places, said Brian Boland, a former Facebook vice president who oversaw partnerships with internet providers in Africa and Asia before resigning at the end of last year.
Facebook has focused its safety efforts on wealthier markets (like the US) where powerful government and media institutions can help keep it accountable. But in smaller countries, Facebook answers many problems with a shrug.
“There is very rarely a significant, concerted effort to invest in fixing those areas,” Boland said.
The problem for Facebook is that the developing world is now it’s biggest market for growth. With user numbers in the US, Canada and Europe mostly stagnant now, 90% of the company’s user growth is coming from the developing world.
A Facebook spokesman responded to WSJ’s inquiry by describing Facebook’s efforts to police content in the emerging world. “In countries at risk for conflict and violence, we have a comprehensive strategy, including relying on global teams with native speakers covering over 50 languages, educational resources, and partnerships with local experts and third-party fact checkers to keep people safe,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said this week.
Others say while this might be true, it’s not enough – and Facebook’s leadership knows it. One team, led by a former cop, uncovered how the New Jalisco Cartel in Mexico was using Facebook to recruit and train aspiring cartel hitmen.
On Jan. 13, nine days after employees circulated an internal report calling on Facebook to take down all pages publicly associated with the cartel, the first post appeared on a new CJNG Instagram account: it was a video of a person with a gold pistol shooting a young man in the head while blood spurts from his neck. The next post was a photo of a beaten man tied to a chair. The next one was a trash bag full of severed hands.
That page, along with other Instagram and Facebook pages advertising the cartel, remained active for at least five months before being taken down. Since then, new pages have appeared under the CJNG name featuring guns and beheadings.
In other instances, Facebook found that it simply didn’t have enough language specialists to monitor threats in certain emerging countries. One example was Ethiopia. Like years before in Myanmar, some Ethiopian users used Facebook to incite violence against the people of Tigray, attacks that have risen to the level of war crimes.
In what was perhaps one of the most shocking shortcomings, Facebook’s lack of Arabic-language experts allowed a scheme where “employment agencies” lured women from Kenya and other African nations to work as de facto slaves in the homes of wealthy Saudis. Most of these agencies advertised on Facebook to lure workers to an airport, where they would be confronted with a bait and switch, and told that, if they backed out now, they would be on the hook to repay the employment agency.
The mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, was witnessed having a night out on the town, partying without regard for social distancing or mask-wearing.
This despite enacting strict measures on citizens requiring masks for vaccinated and unvaccinated people congregating indoors.
In a photo taken by the San Francisco Chronicle, Breed is seen hanging out with Alicia Garza, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter.
NBC Bay Area picked up on the hypocrisy, which they pointed out to viewers.
“This photo posted and then later taken down from the Black Cat’s instagram page shows a smiling mayor London Breed celebrating with friends Wednesday night. The problem is she’s clearly not wearing a mask as stated by the city’s rules she put into place.”
“There are a few drinks on the table, but nobody appears to be actively drinking them.”
“The San Francisco Chronicle reports Breed spent the night dancing singing along and posing for pictures maskless.”
According to the city’s rules, masks are required for everyone gathering indoors regardless of vaccination status.
“As of August 2, 2021, everyone must wear masks indoors in public spaces. Even if you are fully vaccinated, you must wear a face covering indoors in public buildings,” the city’s order currently states.
A frustrated Crossfit gym owner interviewed by NBC was upset clients working out at her facility have to follow the rules and the mayor doesn’t.
“She’s been very clear that everybody needs to do their part, we’re not out of the woods. San Francisco’s rules have been very restrictive, and I don’t see her playing her part in that photo,” the gym owner said.
In a statement to a San Francisco Chronicle reporter at the night club, Breed claimed a vaccine requirement by the club made her feel safe, and that she wanted to set an example.
“…At the end of the day, everyone who comes in here has to show proof of vaccination. That gives me a lot of reassurance,” Breed told a Chronicle reporter.
“I’ve been very careful, not just because I want to set an example but because I don’t want to get COVID. I also want to make sure that I’m not someone transmitting COVID to other people.”
“(The Chronicle reporter who talked to Breed was not wearing a mask during the interview),” the paper noted.
The mayor did not address why she was in violation of the city’s mask mandate.
The hypocritical double-standard seems to be a pattern for California democrat politicians.
It’s the second time Breed has been caught defying her own order.
The last time happened back in December 2020, when she was caught attending a birthday party at the high-end French Laundry restaurant in Napa, the same location Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) was caught flouting health orders last November.
US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) also got busted visiting a San Francisco salon last September, while health orders at the time prohibited indoor salon visits.

Joe Biden is scheduled to leave the White House early Friday afternoon for a long weekend at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware vacation home, which he last visited in June. Biden’s trip comes with Americans still trapped in Afghanistan, Texas being overrun with thousands of migrants and the day after Biden announced a war on Red states by slashing lifesaving medical treatment for COVID.
The Daily Wire’s Emily Zanotti reported today on Americans trapped in Afghanistan, “Hey, guys? Those flights at Mazar-I-Sharif? They never took off. Those Americans/allies are still in Afghanistan and the State Dept says it’s “pulled all the levers” and the Taliban isn’t budging. The Americans can’t leave.”

Delaware Business Now reports Delaware is experiencing a COVID surge that is forcing hospitals to cut services.
…He will arrive in a Sussex County that is seeing a surge in Delta variant Covid-19 cases that, along with the fall of Afghanistan, have led to a decline in Biden’s approval rating.
Both of the county’s hospitals have postponed elective surgeries requiring an overnight stay due to the number of Covid-related cases, largely among the unvaccinated.
he Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction over the area that begins at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, and runs through noon, Monday, Sept. 20. The restricted area covers air space from Dover to Ocean City, Md.
Biden purchased a house in North Shores, a community between Rehoboth Beach and Gordons Pond, in the summer of 2017.
The Gazette also reported on canal and ocean security zones being established by the federal government (excerpt):
The U.S. Coast Guard has recently established two new security zones in areas near Biden’s beach house. A notice advising the public of the zones was published Aug. 26 in the Federal Register, a daily journal of the federal government that, among other things, informs citizens of changes to regulations. U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Jonathan Theel, Captain of the Port, Delaware Bay, wrote the regulation notice Aug. 20. According to the public notice, the zones went into effect Aug. 26.
…Coming from Delaware Bay, the canal security zone begins approximately two-thirds of the way through the canal and lasts for about half a mile, ending just south of the entrance to the North Shores Marina. The zone for the ocean is a one-mile section of the North Shores beach that stretches 500 yards from the shoreline.
According to the notice, no vessel or person is permitted to enter either security zone without first obtaining permission from the Captain of the Port Delaware Bay or a designated representative.
…No stopping or anchoring will be allowed within the security zones, said the notice. At times, for limited duration, it is anticipated that vessels may be prohibited from entering the zone due to movement of people protected by the Secret Service.
No longer content to just go after bots and trolls, Facebook has established a new category of “social harm” posted by genuine users, starting with purging pages and Instagram accounts of the German anti-lockdown group Querdenken.
Facebook’s head of security policy Nathaniel Gleicher announced the action on Thursday, saying that his team has been working for months to “expand our network disruption efforts so we can address threats that come from groups of authentic accounts coordinating on our platform to cause social harm.”
The closest his post comes to defining “social harm” is content that “calls for violence or to discredit medical science.”
Gleicher says his group has removed a network of Facebook and Instagram accounts, pages and groups “for engaging in coordinated efforts to repeatedly violate our Community Standards, including posting harmful health misinformation, hate speech and incitement to violence.”
Sharing their domains on Facebook and Instagram has been blocked as well, he added, but noted that “we aren’t banning all Querdenken content.”
A male Karen becomes an alien from “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” at the sight of an unmasked woman.
The Querdenken – German for “lateral thinking” – movement is “linked to off-platform violence and other social harms,”Gleicher wrote, adding that the content posted on the banned pages “primarily focused on promoting the conspiracy that the German government’s [Covid-19] restrictions are part of a larger plan to strip citizens of their freedoms and basic rights.”
According to Facebook, the group “typically portrayed violence as the way to overturn the pandemic-related government measures limiting personal freedoms.” The group “engaged in physical violence against journalists, police and medical practitioners in Germany,” Gleicher claimed citing “public reporting.”
There have been multiple mass protests against coronavirus lockdowns in Germany, with the authorities denouncing them as the work of the “far-right,” neo-Nazis and other extremists. While the UN special rapporteur on torture Nils Melzer raised concerns about police brutality in dispersing the demonstrations, last month Berlin police responded that violence is “still part of our legal system.”
“Direct enforcement is violence. Violence harms. Violence hurts. Violence looks violent,” Berlin police spokesperson Thilo Cablitz told DPA last month.
Facebook has cracked down hard on “debunked” and “false” claims about the Covid-19 pandemic, loosely defined as anything that contradicts guidance from the World Health Organization or national health authorities. It stopped censoring the claim that the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China back in May, however, citing “new facts and trends” that emerged.
Fans of Nicki Minaj protested outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Headquarters in Atlanta on Wednesday.
The group was protesting against vaccine mandates while chanting “Nicki Minaj told me the truth. Fauci lied to me” and “down with the CDC!”
“We are here because the CDC has been lying to us for so long,” a Minaj fan said in a video of the protest posted to social media.

Minaj caused quite a stir on Twitter this week after urging people to “pray on it” and not let people bully you into getting a vaccine if it is not right for you.
Minaj was attacked by liberals like Joy Reid and Meghan McCain for telling people not be pressured into getting vaccinated — but Tucker Carlson defended her.
The wildly popular rapper shared the clip of Carlson’s defense and caused an uproar once again, as the left demanded she was siding with “racists.”

Minaj refused to back down and apologize for sharing the clip.
When someone tweeted at her saying, “you know he’s a white nationalist, right?” Minaj fired right back.
Right. I can’t speak to, agree with, even look at someone from a particular political party. Ppl aren’t human any more. Shortly after defending speaking to Republicans, Minaj took to Instagram claiming that Twitter had locked her out of her account.
Minaj opened by discussing going to China and being told that she was not allowed to speak out against their leaders — and warned that the same is happening here.

There is light at the end of the covid tunnel, at least according to the Davos billionaire crowd who after two years of missing their favorite World Economic Forum conclave where they get to bash things like wealth inequality and climate change shortly after landing in their private jets, are set to return to the ritzy Swiss ski resort in 2022. The 2021 WEF edition was envisioned for August in Singapore, but a resurgence of the pandemic forced the organization to call off the event.
The in-person event is scheduled for Jan. 17-21 and designed “to address economic, environmental, political and social fault lines exacerbated by the pandemic,” the group said on Thursday. It is working with the Swiss government and health experts to establish the appropriate safety measures, however the mere fact that the meeting is already scheduled means that the world’s most important decisionmakers have already decided that Covid will not be a “thing” going into 2022.
The exclusive Alpine ski resort of Davos, in southeastern Switzerland, had hosted every annual event bar one since the first edition in 1971. It was held in New York in 2002 to show solidarity for the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack. The annual meeting netted the Swiss economy around CHF80 million ($87 million) in 2020, with businesses and hotels taking in some CHF63 million in revenues, according to Swissinfo.ch.

“The pandemic has brought far-reaching changes. In a world full of uncertainty and tension, personal dialogue is more important than ever. Leaders have an obligation to work together and rebuild trust, increase global cooperation and work towards sustainable, bold solutions,” WEF founder Klaus Schwab stated.
As a reminder, Klaus Schwab is best known for recently officially coining the “Great Reset” term as a description of the current, fourth industrial revolution would “lead to a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity,” which in his book he clarifies is implantable microchips that can read your thoughts.
Schwab has said that his book, ‘Shaping the Future of The Fourth Industrial Revolution’, was particularly popular in China, South Korea and Japan, with the South Korean military alone purchasing 16,000 copies.
In the book, Schwab explains with excitement how upcoming technology will allow authorities to “intrude into the hitherto private space of our minds, reading our thoughts and influencing our behavior.”
He goes on to predict that this will provide an incentive for law enforcement to implement Minority Report-style pre-crime programs.
“As capabilities in this area improve, the temptation for law enforcement agencies and courts to use techniques to determine the likelihood of criminal activity, assess guilt or even possibly retrieve memories directly from people’s brains will increase,” writes Schwab. “Even crossing a national border might one day involve a detailed brain scan to assess an individual’s security risk.”
Schwab also waxes lyrical about the transhumanist utopian dream shared by all elitists which will ultimately lead to the creation of human cyborgs.
“Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies will not stop at becoming part of the physical world around us—they will become part of us,” writes Schwab.
“Indeed, some of us already feel that our smartphones have become an extension of ourselves. Today’s external devices—from wearable computers to virtual reality headsets—will almost certainly become implantable in our bodies and brains.”
Schwab also openly endorses something the media still claims is solely a domain of discussion for conspiracy theorists, namely “active implantable microchips that break the skin barrier of our bodies.”
The globalist hails the arrival of “implanted devices (that) will likely also help to communicate thoughts normally expressed verbally through a ‘built-in’ smartphone, and potentially unexpressed thoughts or moods by reading brain waves and other signals.”
So in other words, the “fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity” relates to the transhumanist singularity and a future where people have their every movement tracked and every thought read by an implantable microchip.
Let me start by acknowledging the legitimate skepticism of many Gateway Pundit commentators that any justice will come out of John Durham’s work. You have been promised the moon in the past and instead received a flaming bag of dog poop.
But let’s accept the fact that yesterday’s news that DNC lawyer Michael Sussmann was going to be indicted turned out to be true. Charlie Brown got to kick the football this time.
So what does this mean? Is it a meaningless gesture or the first domino to fall in a line of dominoes? I think this is just the first domino to fall and that others will come. I base this on what the indictment says.
If you have the time, please read the indictment (here).
Durham’s indictment of Sussmann lays out the foundation of a conspiracy. Michael Sussman was indicted for lying to the FBI about the source of information he gave the Bureau. He claimed he got it independently. He did not. It was bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and her campaign. The indictment essentially charges Sussmann with sending the FBI on a wild goose chase:
The FBI had, in fact, initiated an investigation of these allegations in response to a meeting that MICHAEL A. SUSSMANN, the defendant herein– a lawyer at a major international law firm (“ Law Firm -1”, i.e. Perkins Coie) – requested and held with the FBI General Counsel on or about September 19, 2016 at FBI Headquarters in the District of Columbia. SUSSMANN provided to the FBI General Counsel three “ white papers” along with data files allegedly containing evidence supporting the existence of this purported secret communications channel.
During the meeting, SUSSMANN lied about the capacity in which he was
providing the allega to the FBI Specifically, SUSSMANN stated falsely that he was not doing his work on the aforementioned allegations “ any client,” which led the FBI General Counsel to understand that SUSSMANN was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information , not as a paid advocate or political operative . In fact, and as alleged in further detail below, this statement was intentionally false and misleading because, in assembling and conveying
these allegations, SUSSMANN acted on behalf of specific clients, namely, ( i ) a U.S. technology industry executive (“ Tech Executive- 1”) at a U.S. Internet company “Internet Company”) , and ( ii) the Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign (the “Clinton Campaign”).
That “Tech Executive” and the Hillary Clinton Campaign are now possible targets. The critical question is whether or not Sussmann was acting on his own. The indictment states he was acting at the behest of the Tech Executive and Hillary. It would be prosecutorial incompetence if they had not already be interviewed and evidence collected against them.
Paragraph 6 of the indictment gives a strong indication of how Durham and this team view Sussmann’s lie:
Had the FBI uncovered the origins of the relevant data and analysis, and as alleged below, it might have learned, among other things , that ( i ) in compiling and analyzing the Russian Bank- 1 allegations, Tech Executive- 1 had exploited his access to non-public data at multiple Internet companies to conduct opposition research concerning Trump; ( ii) in furtherance of these efforts, Tech Executive- 1 had enlisted, and was continuing to enlist, the assistance of researchers at a U.S.-based university who were receiving and analyzing Internet data in connection with a pending federal government cybersecurity research contract ; and ( ) SUSSMANN , Tech Executive, and Law Firm- 1 had coordinated, and were continuing to coordinate, with representatives and agents of the Clinton Campaign with regard to the data and written materials
that SUSSMANN gave to the FBI and the media.
First, pay close attention to the indictment’s claim that “non public data” from a “federal government research contract” was being used to bait the FBI. I believe that is a criminal act. Second, the indictment makes it very clear that Sussmann, the Tech Executive and Perkins Coie did not just commit one act of conspiracy. Nope. They were “continuing to co-ordinate with representatives and agents of the Clinton Campaign.” This means it was not just one person working on the Clinton Campaign. It was many people.
The Tech Executive is in big trouble. He was using “non-public” data that was obtained from a Federal government research contract. This may refer to the searches flagged by NSA Director at the time, Mike Rogers, who acted to shutdown the access once he learned that “contractors” were conducting illegal searches.
Paragraph 20g of the indictment states that the Tech Executive was communicating with Fusion GPS in August 2016 regarding the Alfa Bank scam. The next paragraph in the indictment also implicates Perkins Coie’s Marc Elias in the plot:
As alleged in further detail below, in or around the same time period – and in furtherance of his efforts with SUSSMANN and Campaign Lawyer-1 to disseminate allegations regarding Trump – Tech Executive- 1 used his access at multiple organizations to gather and mine public and non-public Internet data regarding Trump and his associates, with the goal of creating a “ narrative” regarding the candidate’s ties to Russia.
Prosecutor Durham reiterates that “non-public” Internet data was being used to create a lie about Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia.
The indictment goes into great detail about the Tech Executive’s efforts to gather information from two other internet companies. One of this companies was initially unwilling to do the Tech Exec’s bidding but ultimately caved:
The aforementioned individual and other personnel at Internet Company- 3 were uncomfortable regarding this tasking from Tech Executive- 1 because they believed that using the companies data in this manner was inappropriate. They complied with the tasking, however, because Tech Executive- 1 was a powerful figure at both companies.
In connection with this tasking, Tech Executive- 1 emailed to Internet Company-3 personnel a five-page document (the “ Trump Associates List listing six associates of Trump and a purported U.S.-based lobbyist for Russian Bank- 1 who was also discussed in written materials prepared by the U.S. Investigative Firm that SUSSMANN would later provide to the FBI General
Counsel The Trump Associates List contained detailed personal information for these individuals, including, for example, their names, home addresses, personal email addresses, business names , business websites and email domains , suspected IP addresses for those domains, and information pertaining to the spouse of one of these associates. Tech Executive- 1 directed
that these individuals should be a focus of Internet Company- 3’s data queries and analysis.
This paragraph strongly implicates the illegal use of the NSA databases. I do not think that Durham is just mentioning this for color. It is far more serious. He is laying the predicate for further charges. For now, the FBI and DOJ executives involved in the plot to feed the narrative about Trump and Russia are not in the cross hairs. I know that most of the readers of this blog believe correctly that they should be. It remains to be seen.
For now, based on this indictment, I expect we will see indictments of the Tech Executive, Fusion GPS’s Glenn Simpson, former Perkins Coie partner Marc Elias and at least two people from the Clinton Campaign. At this point, Durham is making that case that those people were responsible for “misleading” the FBI. But it begs the question, is the FBI really so stupid and gullible that they would blindly accept bullshit without checking it out first?
I will provide more analysis tomorrow.
A Quinnipiac poll has found that almost half of Americans (48%) believe that Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates “go too far,” and that a slight majority are in opposition to it.
Quinnipiac noted that a “slight majority of Americans (51 – 48 percent) disapprove of President Biden’s plan to mandate COVID-19 vaccines for millions of Americans in the public and private sectors. Republicans disapprove 84 – 13 percent, independents disapprove 56 – 44 percent, and Democrats approve 89 – 10 percent.”
The survey found that 10 percent think the mandate does not go far enough, while 39 percent think it’s about right.
Obviously, however, this means that around half of Americans are fully on board with the mandates.
As we noted earlier this week, a OnePoll survey found that vaccinated Americans are far more likely to permanently sever relationships with friends over their opinion on the COVID-19 jab than those who haven’t been vaccinated.
America now faces that reckoning with Biden’s plan to impose federal vaccine mandates on every company that employs over 100 people.
As we previously reported, Police and firefighters are among the groups who are resisting, bringing lawsuits against the mandates.
There has also been significant resistance among military service members, who will be mandated to take the shots.
Earlier this week, Joe Biden’s Commerce Secretary claimed that “nobody is being forced” to get vaccinated, despite last week’s announcement that millions of Americans will be mandated to take the shot in order to go to work.
“We are not being forced,” Raimondo again claimed, stating “You can work from home, get tested on a weekly basis,” and adding “I think this is smart public policy and great leadership by the president.”

A viral video shows a masked man wearing a badge saying he has been vaccinated following a woman around a Target store and trying to publicly shame her for not being vaccinated.
“You’re not going to follow me around in the store and point at me to people,” the woman insisted, but the creep continued to follow her while claiming, “It’s a state regulation.”
“It’s not a law. You’re an idiot,” the woman responded as others began to intervene by telling the stalker to stop harassing the woman.
Appealing to authority, the man then claimed his wife was a specialist in infectious diseases before announcing, “It’s all of our job as a community to come together and make sure that people are shamed when they put the rest of us at risk.”

The positive takeaway from the clip is that the other members of the public take the side of the woman and not the creep harassing her.
In other videos where people have been publicly confronted for not wearing a mask, the other shoppers normally join in with the harassment.
Meanwhile, CNN’s Don Lemon openly sided with such weirdos during a segment on his show in which he insisted that unvaxxed Americans are “stupid” and people should “start shaming them.”
